Judge volunteers are a critical part of our science fair; helping to evaluate student projects and provide constructive feedback so students can improve their science and presentation.  Prepare yourself to be amazed by these young scientists! Teachers, scientists, community members and students all are welcome.

Judging a science project requires some training to ensure that everyone uses the same evaluation criteria and process. Training is offered via a Judging Workshop, which all judges are asked to attend. In 2020 this workshop will be held:

WHEN: Thursday April 2, 2020, starting at 7pm

WHERE: Trent University, room SC 115 (Science Complex)

If you are unable to attend the workshop, please download and review the Judge Orientation Workshop Presentation 2020 (link to this be provided shortly after the Workshop).

For over 50 years the Peterborough Regional Science Fair has encouraged students to embrace and explore scientific thought and have fun doing it! Projects require all aspects of learning: inquiry, experimental design and execution, literacy, math and art to create the dynamic poster boards. Students take part in a friendly science competition, showing off their investigations.

Held annually at Trent University, our Fair brings together hundreds of students who showcase their experiments and compete for awards totalling $15 000, including the opportunity to compete at the Canada-Wide Science Fair and beyond.
