The Peterborough Regional Science Fair is one of 104 science fairs associated with Youth Science Canada. We serve schools in the Peterborough region including: the Kawartha-Pine Ridge District School Board, the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic DSB, the Trillium Lakelands DSB, private schools and home-schooled students.

Participant registration is completed in THREE steps 

1. Register Online

  • To register select the blue box "Student Register" at the top right of this website

  • then click "create account (top right)

  • You will be sent a verification email from Youth Science Canada to set your password (be patient it might not be immediate, check spam/Junk)

  • WATCH This Video Tutorial about to register

Important Notes:

  • Each student must register with their own email address even if you are working as a pair

  • You cannot use the same email address for two people

  • There is a maximum of two students per project

  •  You will create a ProjectBoard - this where you upload your virtual project (see Step # 3 below)

  • If you are working as a pair, only ONE person creates the ProjectBoard - please read these INSTRUCTIONS  about how to share the project with your partner so you can both work on it

  • remember to 'submit' each registration step

 

2. Submit Signature Pages with Entry Fee - Due: Midnight Tuesday, March 23 

  • Once your online registration is complete, print out the signature pages, and have them signed by a parent/guardian and (if working with your school) a teacher. Then submit the signature pages with registration fee of $10 per student using either of these methods:

  • The signature pages can be downloaded and printed from the YSC participant registration page. Scroll to the bottom section: "Additional Information". Currently they are not downloading properly email prsfair2020@gmail.com and we will email directly to you

    3. Scan signature pages & email to:

        Send interac e-transfer to:

        peterboroughsciencefair@trentu.ca

           use Question: student favourite subject

           use Answer:    science

           **in the email transfer message please write the student name**

  • The fee may be paid by email transfer, cash or cheque payable to: Peterborough Regional Science Fair

 

  • Go to:  https://mystemspace.ca/  click on "log in(top right) *use same email you used for registration*

  • click on the large box "My ProjectBoard Workspace"  to create a project

  •  you will be sent a verification code (be patient or check Junk/spam)

  • make sure you toggle 'private' to 'public' (this does not make it public on the internet but allows you to edit your project)

  • It's recommended that you write you text in word and cut and past to projectboard

  • save your work
